Postnatal Care at Cocoon Hospital comes with supportive services like monitoring blood pressure, bleeding, and wound healing (Perineal or C‑section).
Our experts offer lactation counselling, diet plans, mental health support, and weight loss plans for reducing the recovery time. We follow evidence-based international and Indian postnatal care guidelines to ensure smooth recovery for mothers while promoting the healthy growth and development of newborns.

Here are the six stages of Postnatal development:
There are two ways of classifying postnatal care: by time period (phases) and by content or area of care
Classification by time phases: Immediate (acute) phase; early (subacute) phase; late (extended) phase; long‑term or extended follow‑up.
Classification by area of care: Maternal postnatal care; newborn postnatal care; psychosocial and mental‑health care; family planning and reproductive care.
The other two classifications are based on service type (routine care and specialised care) and Setting type (facility-based care and home-based care).
Common maternal problems include excessive bleeding, infection, postpartum pre-eclampsia, urinary incontinence, mental health issues, etc. Common newborn problems include feeding difficulties, jaundice, infections, etc.
